Section 30:4D-17.18a - Rules, regulations

The Commissioner of Human Services, pursuant to the "Administrative Procedure Act," P.L. 1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.), and subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Health as appropriate, shall adopt rules and regulations to effectuate the purposes of P.L. 1993, c.16 (C.30:4D-17.16 et seq.) and section 2 of P.L. 1998, c. 41(C.30:4D-17.17a); except that, notwithstanding any provision of P.L. 1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.) to the contrary, the Commissioner of Human Services, may adopt, immediately upon filing with the Office of Administrative Law, such regulations as the commissioner deems necessary to implement the provisions of P.L. 1993, c.16 (C.30:4D-17.16 et seq.) and section 2 of P.L. 1998, c. 41(C.30:4D-17.17a), which shall be effective for a period not to exceed six months and may thereafter be amended, adopted or re-adopted by the Commissioner of Human Services, in accordance with the requirements of P.L. 1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.).
