Each year, the committee of the Marine Fisheries Council concerned with the menhaden fishery shall meet to review the current State laws and rules and regulations concerning menhaden, the implementation of those laws and rules and regulations, and the status of the menhaden fishery in the State. The committee may make recommendations to the Marine Fisheries Council concerning any changes in laws, rules or regulations, or policies or procedures implemented pursuant to those laws, rules, or regulations that the committee determines to be prudent for the protection and vitality of the menhaden fishery in the State.
