Section 11A:6-24.2 - Furlough days taken on paid holiday

Notwithstanding the provisions of section 25 of P.L. 2008, c. 89 (C.11A:6-24.1) or any other law or regulation to the contrary, a State employee participating in a furlough program may be required or elect to take a furlough day on a paid holiday granted to State government employees in calendar years 2020 and 2021. An employee who is required to or elects to take a furlough day on a paid holiday shall not receive pay for the holiday. An employee on furlough leave on the day before or on the day following a holiday shall receive pay for the holiday as long as the employee is not required, or does not elect, to take a furlough day on the paid holiday.
