Section 656.280 - Investigations; procedure upon refusal to issue certificate or license1. The Board may upon its own motion and shall upon the verified complaint in writing of any natural person or business entity setting forth facts which if proven would constitute grounds for refusal, suspension or revocation of a certificate or license or other disciplinary action as set forth in NRS 656.240 to 656.300, inclusive, investigate the actions of a current or former certified court reporter or licensee, including a natural person who or business entity that applies for, or holds or represents that he or she or the business entity holds a license or certificate.2. The Board shall, before refusing to issue any license or certificate, notify the applicant in writing of the reasons for the refusal. The notice must be served by delivery personally to the applicant or by mailing by registered or certified mail to the last known place of business of the applicant.3. The time set in the notice must not be less than 10 nor more than 30 days after delivery or mailing.4.
