Section 644A.375 - Qualifications for examination; fee1. The Board shall admit to examination for a certificate of registration as a shampoo technologist, any person who has applied to the Board in proper form and paid the fee, and who: (a) Is not less than 16 years of age.(b) Is of good moral character.(c) Has successfully completed the 10th grade in school or its equivalent.(d) Satisfies at least one of the following: (1) Training of at least 50 hours in a licensed school of cosmetology as a student of the occupation of a cosmetologist or hair designer;(2) Training of at least 50 hours in a licensed school of cosmetology in a curriculum prescribed by the Board by regulation; or(3) Training of at least 50 hours which is administered online by the Board in a curriculum prescribed by the Board by regulation.2.
