Section 62B.615 - Development of strategic plan relating to use of evidence-based practices in providing services to children; regulations; submission of plan to Legislature1. The Commission shall develop a 5-year strategic plan that establishes policies and procedures for the Division of Child and Family Services and each department of juvenile services relating to the use of evidence-based practices in providing services to children subject to the jurisdiction of the juvenile court. The plan must include, without limitation:(a) Uniform standards that an evidence-based practice or program must follow, including, without limitation, model programs, staffing requirements and quality assurance protocols;(b) Strategies, including, without limitation, measurable goals, timelines and responsible parties, to enhance the capacity of the Division of Child and Family Services and each department of juvenile services to: (1) Comply with the evidence-based standards developed by the Commission; and(2) Partner with treatment providers that offer evidence-based programs for the treatment of children subject to the jurisdiction of the juvenile court;(c) A requirement for the collection and reporting of data to the Commission by each department of juvenile services relating to the programs offered and services rendered by each department; and(d) Protocols for improvement and corrective action for:(1) A department of juvenile services that does not comply with the reporting requirements established pursuant to paragraph (c); and(2) A treatment provider that does not comply with the evidence-based standards established by the Commission.2. The Division of Child and Family Services shall adopt regulations to implement the provisions of the strategic plan developed pursuant to subsection 1.3. On or before July 1, 2018, and every 5 years thereafter, the Commission shall submit the strategic plan developed pursuant to subsection 1 to the Director of the Legislative Counsel Bureau for transmittal to the next regular session of the Legislature.Added to NRS by 2017, 4380Added by 2017, Ch. 604,§6, eff. 7/1/2017.
