Except as otherwise provided in NRS 62B.245, if a child becomes subject to the jurisdiction of the juvenile court and the child receives ancillary services that are administered or financed by a county, including, but not limited to, transportation or psychiatric, psychological or medical services, the juvenile court shall:
1. To the extent possible, arrange for the child to receive such services from an approved provider that receives a sufficient amount of federal or state funding to offset the remainder of the costs of such services.2. Not order the parent or guardian of the child to reimburse the county for the costs of such services unless the child receives such services from a provider that is not approved or the child seeks additional services beyond those recommended for the child, in which case the parent or guardian of the child shall pay the costs of such services.Added to NRS by 2003, 1087; A 2019, 1956Amended by 2019, Ch. 322,§1.5, eff. 7/1/2019.Added to NRS by 2003, 1087
