Section 449A.645 - Validity of advance directive executed in another state or instrument executed before May 26, 20171. An advance directive for psychiatric care executed in another state in compliance with the law of that state or of this State is valid for purposes of NRS 449A.600 to 449A.645, inclusive.2. An instrument executed anywhere before May 26, 2017, which clearly expresses the intent of the person executing the instrument to direct the provision of psychiatric care for the person when the person is otherwise rendered incapable of communicating with his or her attending physician, if executed in a manner which attests voluntary execution and has not been subsequently revoked, is effective under NRS 449A.600 to 449A.645, inclusive.3.
