Section 281A.230 - Executive Director: Appointment; qualifications; classification; prohibited activities and other employment1. The Commission shall appoint, within the limits of legislative appropriation, an Executive Director who shall perform the duties set forth in this chapter and such other duties as may be prescribed by the Commission.2. The Executive Director must have experience in administration, investigations and law.3. The Executive Director is in the unclassified service of the State.4. The Executive Director shall devote the Executive Director's entire time and attention to the business of the Commission and shall not pursue any other business or occupation or hold any other office of profit that detracts from the full and timely performance of the Executive Director's duties.5. The Executive Director may not:(a) Be actively involved in the work of any political party or political campaign; or(b) Except in pursuit of the business of the Commission, communicate directly or indirectly with a State Legislator or a member of a local legislative body on behalf of someone other than the Executive Director to influence:(1) The State Legislator with regard to introducing or voting upon any matter or taking other legislative action; or(2) The member of the local legislative body with regard to introducing or voting upon any ordinance or resolution, taking other legislative action or voting upon:(I) The appropriation of public money;(II) The issuance of a license or permit; or(III) Any proposed subdivision of land or special exception or variance from zoning regulations.Added to NRS by 1999, 2728; A 2009, 1049(Added to NRS by 1999, 2728; A 2009, 1049)-(Substituted in revision for NRS 281.463 )
