Section 209.084 - "Serious mental illness or other significant mental impairment" defined1. "Serious mental illness or other significant mental impairment" means: (a) A mental, behavioral or emotional disorder that results in serious functional impairment, which substantially interferes with or limits one or more major life activities; or(b) A diagnosis of an intellectual disability, as defined in NRS 435.007.2. The term includes, without limitation, a diagnosis of major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder or borderline personality disorder.Added to NRS by 2023, 2427Added by 2023, Ch. 407,§7, eff. 1/1/2024.
