The department of commerce shall, in cooperation with other state, federal, and local agencies, establish and maintain a central depository of information, including computer-retrievable files, concerning the significant characteristics of the state, its people, economy, land, and physical characteristics. The department shall:
(1) analyze and disseminate this information to state, federal, and local agencies and to the general public; and(2) perform the duties assigned to the state census and economic information center in 5-1-201 through 5-1-206.Amended by Laws 2023, Ch. 233,Sec. 7, eff. 7/1/2023, and applicable to local election districts based on population whose boundaries are created or altered on or after the date when the redistricting data for the 2030 census is available.En.
