Section 7-12-2159 - Notice of resolution for levy and assessment of tax - protest and hearing(1) A notice, signed by the county clerk and stating that the resolution levying a special assessment to defray the cost of making the improvements is on file in the office of the county clerk and is subject to inspection, shall be: (a) published as provided in 7-1-2121;(b) mailed to the owner of each lot, tract, or parcel of land to be assessed (such lands must be identified and the mailing address determined from the last-completed assessment roll for state, county, and school district taxes); and(c) mailed to such other persons known to the clerk to have an ownership interest in the property.(2) The notice shall state the time at and place in which objections to the final adoption of the resolution will be heard by the board of county commissioners. The time for the hearing may not be less than 5 days after the second publication or less than 10 days after the mailing of the notice.En. Ch. 123, L. 1915; superseded by Ch. 156, L. 1917; amd.
