Section 5-11-204 - Secretary of state to assign chapter numbers to new laws

The secretary of state shall, when bills passed by any legislature are filed in the secretary's office as directed in 5-4-302 and 5-4-305, note on the bill the date of filing and number the bills, except resolutions, in the order of their reception, chapter 1 and upwards, using Arabic numerals.
