Section 33-22-1301 - Short title - purpose

This part may be cited as the "Montana Reinsurance Association Act". The purpose of this act is to establish a Montana-based public reinsurance program in order to stabilize the individual health insurance market, maintain competition, and reduce premiums.

Added by Laws 2019, Ch. 471,Sec. 1, eff. 4/30/2019, and applicable retroactively, within the meaning of 1-2-109, to premiums collected from health insurers on or after January 1, 2019.
