Section 2-16-102 - Qualifications generally - age and citizenship(1) Provisions respecting disqualifications for particular offices are contained in the constitution and in the provisions of the laws concerning the various offices.(2) A person is not eligible to hold civil office in this state who at the time of election or appointment is not 18 years of age or older and a citizen of this state.(3) A person is not eligible to hold civil office in this state who at the time of the filing deadline for the race is not registered to vote in Montana.
