Section 16-6-203 - Description of offense

In describing the offense respecting the sale or keeping for sale or other disposal of alcoholic beverages or the having, keeping, giving, purchasing, or consumption of alcoholic beverages in any information, summons, conviction, warrant, or proceeding under this code, it shall be sufficient to state simply the sale or keeping for sale or disposal, having, keeping, giving, purchasing, or consumption of alcoholic beverages, without stating:

(1) the name or kind of such alcoholic beverage or the price thereof;
(2) the name of any person to whom it was sold or disposed of or by whom it was taken or consumed or from whom it was purchased or received; or
(3) the quantity of alcoholic beverage, except in the case of offenses where the quantity is essential, and then it shall be sufficient to allege the sale or disposal of more or less than such quantity.
