Section 226.410 - All other powers preserved to state

There is hereby preserved to this state or its political subdivisions thereof in which such parkway areas are located, all other powers, and expressly and specifically reserves thereto jurisdiction in all civil and criminal matters; also the power to levy and collect a tax on all motor vehicle fuels and lubricants on said parkway, and a tax on the sale thereof and of other products and services sold on said parkway, or on any part of the property conveyed to the United States pursuant to sections 226.280 to 226.430, except sales to and for exclusive use of the federal government; also the jurisdiction and power to tax and license or to prohibit the sale of intoxicating liquors on any such area so conveyed, or to be conveyed; also the right to levy and collect a tax on all property, including buildings erected thereon, not belonging to the United States; also the authority to require licenses and impose license taxes upon any business or businesses conducted thereon under lease with the United States. The above powers enumerated as expressly and specifically reserved to this state or political subdivisions thereof, in which such parkway areas are situated, shall not be construed as being in any respect inconsistent with or impairing the powers of the United States. By mutual agreement between federal and state or local authorities, their respective patrolmen may cooperate in the enforcement of parkway regulations and controlling parades or convoys on the parkway road.
