Section 188.220 - Taxpayer standing and attorney general authority to bring cause of action - equitable relief and damages1. Any taxpayer of this state or its political subdivisions shall have standing to bring a cause of action in any court or administrative agency of competent jurisdiction to enforce the provisions of sections 188.200 to 188.215.2. The attorney general is authorized to bring a cause of action in any court or administrative agency of competent jurisdiction to enforce the provisions of sections 188.200 to 188.215.3. In any action to enforce the provisions of sections 188.200 to 188.215 by a taxpayer or the attorney general, a court of competent jurisdiction may order injunctive or other equitable relief, recovery of damages or other legal remedies, or both, as well as payment of reasonable attorney's fees, costs, and expenses of the taxpayer or the state. The relief and remedies set forth shall not be deemed exclusive and shall be in addition to any other relief or remedies permitted by law.Amended by 2024 Mo. Laws, HB 2634,s A, eff. 8/28/2024.
