A judge of the district court shall devote full time to the performance of duties and shall not practice as an attorney or counselor at law, nor be a partner of any practicing attorney in the business of the practicing attorney's profession, and the judge shall not engage in any business activities that will tend to interfere with or appear to conflict with the judge's judicial duties.
No part of the salary of a judge of the district court shall be paid unless the voucher therefor be accompanied by a certificate of the judge indicating compliance with this section.
