Section 600.858 - Security for costs; award of costs in contested case(1) When it appears reasonable and proper, the probate court may require a party to a proceeding before a hearing to give sufficient security for all costs as may be awarded against that party.(2) In a contested case, the probate court may award costs to either party to be paid by the other party or out of the estate, as justice and equity requires.Add. 1978, Act 543, Eff. 7/1/1979 .
