Section 257.679 - Following or parking within certain distance of fire apparatus; violation as civil infraction(1) The driver of a vehicle other than a vehicle on official business shall not follow any fire apparatus traveling in response to a fire alarm closer than 500 feet or driver into or park the vehicle within 500 feet where fire apparatus has stopped in answer to a fire alarm.(2) A person who violates this section is responsible for a civil infraction.1949, Act 300, Eff. 9/23/1949 ;--Am. 1978, Act 510, Eff. 8/1/1979 .
