Section 257.791c - Animals, other than service or qualified animals prohibited on or in streetcar or station; violation as civil infraction; definitions(1) A person shall not bring, carry, or transport an animal other than a service animal or qualified animal on a streetcar or in any area of a station used by a street railway system.(2) A person who violates this section is responsible for a civil infraction.(3) As used in this section: (a) "Qualified animal" means an animal that is not more than 25 pounds and is controlled in a cage.(b) "Service animal" means that term as defined in section 502c of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.502c.Added by 2021, Act 43,s 23, eff. 7/1/2021.
