Section 1876 - Control of land areas1. Structures. New structures or expansions of existing structures are not permitted within the restricted zone, except those structures essential to state service agencies, those structures determined by the bureau to be essential in maintaining water level controls and temporary structures determined by the bureau to be necessary for watercourse crossing and access. All existing structures must be removed except those determined necessary by the bureau to carry out the intent of this subchapter. [1997, c. 678, §13(NEW); 2011, c. 657, Pt. 3.Camps. Other than structures permitted under subsection 1, camps are prohibited within the restricted zone. Existing commercial sporting camps must be acquired by the bureau and may be leased back to the present owners or others on terms and conditions determined by the bureau. As of July 25, 1984, the bureau may not change the existing type of use of Jalbert's Sporting Camps on Round Pond and Nugents Sporting Camps on Chamberlain Lake or destroy or abandon those camps without legislative approval.
