Section 9:1425 - Succession judgments affecting real property in Orleans; attorneys to file with assessorA. Whenever any real property situated in the parish of Orleans is included in a succession judgment, signed upon the presentation of a petition for simple possession and rendered without opposition, a copy of all such succession judgments shall be filed within fifteen days with the assessor for the parish of Orleans by the attorney at law representing the succession, and it shall be the duty of the attorney representing the successful litigant, if such judgments include any real property situated in the parish of Orleans are signed after opposition and litigation, to so file such judgments with the said assessor within fifteen days from the date the judgments become final.B. Whoever violates the provisions of this Section shall be fined not more than fifty dollars or imprisoned in the parish jail for not more than sixty days, or both.Added by Acts 1964, No. 43, §§2, 3; Acts 2006, No. 622, §1, eff.
