Section 51:414 - Use of terms; fee information; violationsA. Except as otherwise authorized under state or federal law and rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, no person with intent to sell or in any way dispose of goods or services shall use the term "federal" or "United States," or any such other terms that would lead the reader to the conclusion that the person represents the government of the United States or one of its agencies, in any written material issued by such person without a disclaimer clearly visible in large, legible print on the face of such material which states that the person is in no way connected with the government of the United States.B. No person with intent to sell or in any way dispose of goods or services shall charge the fee stated in some written material to another person to whom he has sent written material, unless such fee is stated in large, legible, bold print on the face of the material.C. Any violation of this Section shall be enforceable under the provisions and any violator shall be subject to the penalties of the Unfair Trade Practice and Consumer Protection Law.
