Section 33:140.50.4 - Delegation of authorityA. If, for reasons of convenience, economy, or effectiveness in the administration of plans, ordinances, or other measures, such as zoning, it is desired that the town council or police jury or department, bureau, or agent of either undertake the administration of such plans, ordinances, or other measures with respect to the territory of the other, the town council and police jury may enter into such arrangement as may be mutually agreed upon for such administration and to provide compensation therefor to the governing body or department, bureau, or agent thereof, commensurate with the value and extent of the administration and work involved.B. Nothing in this Section shall be construed as authorizing the delegation by the town council or the police jury to the other or to any department, bureau, or agent thereof, of the legislative authority vested by law in such governing body.Added by Acts 2019, No. 75,s. 1, eff. 8/1/2019.
