Section 30:2562 - Policy; purposeA. The legislature finds and declares that the improvement of the environment of the state of Louisiana is a matter of vital concern to all citizens of this state, and recognizes that existing environmental law plays a critical role in protecting the environment.B. The legislature further finds and declares that environmental protection could be enhanced by authorizing innovative advances in environmental regulatory methods.C. The legislature further finds that present laws and regulations applicable thereto do not provide the authority needed to comply with federal programs that offer industry regulatory flexibility in exchange for superior environmental performances.
