Section 24:932 - DefinitionsFor the purposes of this Chapter:
(1) "Council" means the Interagency Council on Prevention of Sex Offenses.(2) "Rehabilitation service" means a mental health treatment or medical intervention program designed to treat or remedy a sex offender's mental or medical problem that may relate or contribute to the sex offender's criminal or paraphiliac problem.(3) "Sex offender" means a person who:(a) Admits to committing or has been convicted of one or more of the following sexual offenses as defined in R.S. 14:42, 43.1, 43.2, 43.3, 43.4, 45, 78, 81, 81.1, 81.2, 89.1, or 403; or any provision of Subpart C of Part II, Subpart B of Part IV, or Subpart A(1) or A(4) of Part V, of Chapter 1 of Title 14 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.(b) Experiences or evidences a paraphiliac disorder as defined by the Revised Diagnostic and Statistical Manual III.(4) "Treatment provider" means a person who is licensed in this state to provide mental health or medical services for rehabilitation of sex offenders, including a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, licensed professional counselor, therapist, or clinical social worker.La.
