Section 13:758 - Liability insuranceA. Clerks of the judicial district courts may contract for insurance with any insurance company authorized to do business under the laws of this state to cover loss or damage from any negligent acts of the clerk or his deputies in the performance of the duties of his office, the premiums on said insurance to be paid by the clerk as an expense of his office out of the clerk's salary fund.B. Any judgment rendered against any clerk of the judicial district courts for any act of commission or omission performed by him or any of his employees in any of the duties required as clerk shall be paid out of the clerk's salary fund.C. Each of the clerks of the judicial district courts is also authorized to compromise any suit brought against him or his employees, with the concurrence of the judge before whom the matter is pending, and to pay the compromise out of the clerk's salary fund.Acts 1952, No. 369, §1.
