Section 11:3797 - Board of directors; duties; meetingsA. The said Board of Trustees shall have exclusive control and management of said Electrical Workers' Pension and Relief Fund and shall, upon the advice and consent of the members of the said Electrical Department, make all necessary and pertinent rules and regulations for the proper administration of said Fund not in conflict with the provisions of this Part, shall hear and decide all applications for benefits under this Part, and its decision on such applications shall not be subject to review or reversal except by said Board, or upon certiorari to the Courts, however, in the event payment or action is not taken within ten days by said Board, after due notices given, the beneficiary thereof may appeal to the said Electrical Departments as a whole. Provided that the benefits established by R.S. 11:3802 and 3805 may be reduced by said Board of Trustees until such time as reserve funds are, in its opinion, adequate for the payment of such benefits in full.B. No debt, claim, pension, or benefit, of whatsoever nature or kind, shall ever be paid until the same has been duly approved by said Board of Trustees. All such payments, after having been approved by the said Board, shall be by voucher signed by the Treasurer and countersigned by the Vice President and Secretary.C. The said Board shall meet upon call of the President, or upon call of any two members of the Board. "Call" as used herein, shall mean due and timely notice given in writing to all members of the said Board of the intention to convene.La. Consolidated Public Retirement § 11:3797
