§ 9020l. Summonses

In compliance with the duties vested upon him/her by this chapter, the Chief Permit Inspector shall issue summonses to require the appearance of witnesses, take depositions, and furnish any kind of documentary evidence, except for trade secrets. Furthermore, the Chief Permit Inspector may take oaths. The Chief Permit Inspector may resort to any Part of the Court of First Instance and request the Court to order thorough and specific compliance with the summonses. The Court of First Instance shall give priority to considering and deciding upon such petition and have the authority to issue orders making compulsory the appearance of witnesses or the production of any data or information previously required by the Chief Permit Inspector. The Court of First Instance shall be empowered to hold a person in contempt for failure to comply with such orders. Any person may be prosecuted and convicted for perjury committed when giving testimony before the Chief Permit Inspector.
