(1) A copy of the certificate of dissolution provided for in § 2952 of this title, together with a copy of the examination report provided for in § 2952(1) of this title, certified to by the Commissioner, shall forthwith be filed with the Secretary of State, another copy of each thereof shall be filed in the office of the Commissioner, and a third copy thereof shall remain as part of the corporate records of the insurer.
(2) Following such filings and upon the effective date of dissolution as provided in the certificate of dissolution, the insurer corporation shall cease to exist.
