§ 1370. Independent investments

The amounts placed in any such separate account and the accruals thereon may be invested and reinvested regardless of the requirements or limitations prescribed by this Code regulating investments of life insurance companies. The investments of said separate account or accounts shall not be taken into consideration in the application of the investment limitations otherwise applicable to the company’s investments.
