§ 3772. Public policy

It is the public policy of the People of Puerto Rico to recognize that human dignity is inviolable and that said fundamental principle must prevail in natural life and beyond. Therefore, the treatment of the deceased and the consideration towards their family shall observe the utmost dignity, consideration, and respect within a legal framework that is essentially based on the values of our Western culture.
