Any registrar, daycare center director or social treatment center director who allows a student, or preschool child, to enroll in a school, daycare center or treatment center, in violation of the provisions of this chapter, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and punished by imprisonment that shall not exceed six (6) months or a fine that shall not exceed five hundred dollars ($500), or both penalties, at the discretion of the court. In the event it is a registrar who is responsible to the Department of Education, or a director of a daycare center or social treatment center who is responsible to the Secretary of the Family, he may also be administratively sanctioned by the Secretary of Education or by the Secretary of the Family, as the case may be.
Any father, mother or guardian of a preschool child or a student under eighteen (18) years of age, and the students under eighteen (18) years of age, and the students over eighteen (18) years of age who do not comply with the provisions of this chapter, or give false information to the registrar, the director of the daycare centers or the director of the social treatment center, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be sanctioned with a term of imprisonment that shall not exceed six (6) months or a fine that shall not exceed five hundred dollars ($500), or both penalties, at the discretion of the court.
