Chaplain candidates shall comply with the following requirements under this subchapter:
(a) A theological education or education from a duly accredited institution.
(b) Ordination as a minister, priest, or rabbi duly certified by their respective faith group, which must be incorporated in the Department of State, or in default thereof, properly completed theological education or coursework in chaplaincy.
(c) A criminal record certificate issued by the Puerto Rico Police Department.
(d) A health certificate
(e) Availability and accessibility to respond to any type of incident or event management.
(f) Sensitivity towards the emotional and spiritual needs of the person in a crisis, emergency, accident, or disaster situation.
(g) Disposition to take continuing education courses and training in critical incident stress management, counseling, and emergency management, in addition to any other subject related to chaplaincy services.
