The Government of Puerto Rico Volunteer Chaplain Corps Advisory Council shall have the following duties:
(a) To prepare a short- and long-term work plan and periodically evaluate same.
(b) To establish a public policy together with the director and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Emergency Management and Disaster Administration Agency in order to create the work rules and procedures for the development of the Program.
(c) To supervise the structure of the Volunteer Chaplain Corps.
(d) To design the work plan evaluation method together with the Director and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Emergency Management and Disaster Administration Agency.
(e) To authorize and evaluate every activity to be conducted in coordination with the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Emergency Management and Disaster Administration Agency.
(f) In collaboration with the Director, shall be responsible for coordinating chaplain resources that shall offer spiritual guidance and support in emergency situations, incidents, and events.
(g) In collaboration with the Director, shall be responsible for the coordination of all components in the development of policies, plans, and strategies to transport chaplains to the areas affected or in need of said service.
(h) Create a databank in coordination with the private sector, organizations, and local, state, and federal agencies that supply first-aid products and services, such as: shelter, clothing, and food, among others.
