§ 2760. Penalties

Any person who directly or indirectly engages himself in the practice of the optical profession without holding the corresponding license shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by imprisonment in jail for a term of not more than one (1) month or by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500), or both penalties in the discretion of the court; Provided, That in case of recidivism the offense shall entail a minimum of thirty (30) days in jail in addition to the seizure of all the instruments and furniture used in the illegal practice of optics.
