§ 2356. Requirements for granting licenses

The Board shall grant a health service administrator license to every applicant who complies with the following requirements:

(a) To be of legal age.

(b) To be a resident of Puerto Rico.

(c) To file before the Board two (2) sworn statements of community members, accrediting the applicant’s good behavior.

(d) To file before the Board a medical certificate accrediting the applicant’s good health when filing his application.

(e) To present to the Board a diploma or its equivalent, issued by a university, college or school recognized by the Board, that proves that the person has obtained the Master degree in Health Services Administration, or its equivalent, that includes an administrative residence of at least eight hundred (800) hours at a health services facility and whose preceptor is in compliance of §§ 2351—2360 of this title and 2371—2382 of this title, as well as of those regulations adopted thereunder. Provided, That in the case of educational institutions in Puerto Rico, the programs shall be certified by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and accredited by the entity known as the Accrediting Commission on Education for Health Services Administration, and if they are established in the United States, by the United States national entity known as the Accrediting Commission on Education for Health Services Administration.

(f) [To] approve a revalidation test administered by the Board.
