§ 156. Board—Admission to examinations

Any person shall be admitted to examinations for a license as doctor in chiropractic who establishes, to the satisfaction of the Board, that:

(a) He/she is of age, a citizen of the United States of America and a resident of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico for one year prior to the date of application;

(b) he/she is a graduate from a high school, or its equivalent, approved by the Department of Education of Puerto Rico. Provided, That as of January 1, 1958, any applicant for examination shall establish that he/she has approved at least two (2) years of study at an accredited college or university;

(c) he/she is of good moral conduct and a graduate from a school or college approved by the Chiropractic Association of Puerto Rico which requires as a qualification for graduation a minimum of four (4) academic years of nine (9) months each. (Four thousand (4,000) hours’ attendance.) The time devoted to correspondence courses shall not be computed for such purposes.
