Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter or who is engaged in the practice of the trade as an automotive technician or mechanic without being duly associated shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished with a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25) or more than two hundred dollars ($200), or imprisonment for a term of not less than one (1) month, or more than two (2) months.
