§ 564. Penalties

Any person who directly or indirectly engages in the profession of cosmetology (beauty specialist), or who claims or alleges to be authorized without a license therefor; and any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter, or who following the suspension or cancellation of his license continues in the practice of the said profession, or who directly or indirectly employs, permits, or authorizes a person to practice the said profession without a license therefor shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by imprisonment in jail for not more than six (6) months or by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500), or by both penalties. Each violation shall be considered a separate offense.
