(a) Every license issued by the Board shall expire two (2) years after being issued. The application for renewal must be submitted to the Secretary of the Board not later than thirty (30) days before the expiration date of the license. The Secretary of the Board shall then remit the application for renewal to the licensed nuclear medicine technologist, who must comply with all requirement for renewal. The renewed license shall be in effect for two (2) years.
(b) The Board shall renew a license without the need for an additional examination provided the licensed nuclear medicine technologist complies with the following requirements:
(1) File with the Board a duly sworn application on the printed form provided by the Board for such a purpose;
(2) pay the fees provided in the regulations of the Board, and
(3) present evidence of having taken continuing education courses as established in the regulations of the Board.
(c) Should the licensed nuclear medicine technologist fail to meet the above mentioned continuing education requirement for renewing the license, he/she must again comply with the provisions of subsections (a), (h) and (i) of § 4007 of this title. After complying with these requirements the Board may issue the renewal of his/her license.
(d) Any licensed nuclear medicine technologist who fails to pay the license renewal fees shall lose his/her license. In order to again obtain his/her license, he/she must comply with subsections (a), (f), (g), (h) and (i) of § 4007 of this title and with any other requirement deemed necessary by the Board, as established in its regulations.
(e) Any licensed nuclear medicine technologist who fails to renew his/her license for a period of more than five (5) years shall have to comply with subsections (a), (c), (f), (g), (h) and (i) of § 4007 of this title and with any other requirement deemed necessary by the Board, as established in its regulations.
