§ 3422. Penalties

(a) Every person who advertises as a respiratory care technician, or uses words, letters, phrases, abbreviations or emblems indicating that he is one, or is engaged in the practice of the profession in Puerto Rico without the corresponding license, or employs another person without a license shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished with a fine of no less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500), or by imprisonment for a term of not less than one (1) month nor more than six (6) months, or both penalties, at the discretion of the court.
