§ 3402. Board of Examiners—Creation

The Examining Board of Respiratory Technicians of Puerto Rico, attached to the Department of Health, which shall be composed of five (5) members who shall be appointed by the Governor of Puerto Rico with the advice and consent of the Senate, is hereby created. Two (2) of the members shall be physicians duly licensed to practice medicine in Puerto Rico, to wit: a pneumologist, an anesthesiologist or a surgeon duly licensed to practice the medical profession in Puerto Rico. The three (3) remaining members shall be respiratory care technicians [with more than five (5) years of experience] and must have actively practiced the profession for a term of not less than three (3) years immediately before the date of approval of this act.
