The funds for the functioning of the Bureau shall be directly assigned to this body and shall be used according to the directives of the Secretary, who shall keep detailed reports of such. Copies of reports shall be remitted biannually to the Legislature through their Presidents, who shall submit them to the respective Treasury Commissions. The Commissions will study the reports and take pertinent action. The Secretary shall be responsible to the Governor for the use and handling of the assigned funds. The Secretary or the Director shall appear annually before the respective Treasury Commissions of the Legislature to discuss the Bureau’s proposed budget.
