Members of the Commission who are not public officials or employees shall receive a per diem equal to fifty dollars ($50) for each session they attend, up to the maximum sum of six thousand dollars ($6,000) annually. All members of the Commission shall be reimbursed for travel and other necessary expenses incurred by them in the performance of their duties.
