§ 1023. Funding

The Legislative Assembly shall appropriate the necessary funds for the acquisition of equipment as required to outfit and operate the Historical Archive of the Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico. For this purpose, the Committees on Ways and Means and on Budget of the House of Representatives shall recommend the appropriation of funds for the establishment and operation of the Historical Archive of the Legislative Assembly on its report on the approval of the Joint Resolution on the Budget for the next fiscal year. However, the Legislative Assembly is hereby authorized and empowered to seek and obtain donations and to request municipal, state, or federal funds or resources, including the matching of funds, and to enter into agreements with other Commonwealth or federal government agencies, and even with private entities, to comply with the mandates of §§ 1014—1023 of this title.
