Every Program participant under subsections (a) and (b) of § 8883 of this title shall be eligible for payment of health insurance premiums in a health plan selected by the Administrator of the Program. Such premium shall be paid for a maximum term of twelve (12) months as of the date of effectiveness of the participation program or until the participant becomes eligible for health insurance coverage in another job or through any other source of coverage, whichever occurs first. When the employee benefited under § 8883(b) of this title becomes part of the responsibilities of the Retirement System in accordance with the law, he/she shall not be entitled to receive the health insurance contribution as provided in §§ 729 et seq. of this title. This benefit shall be subject to the provisions adopted by the Program Administrator. In the case of beneficiaries under § 8883(c) of this title, their health insurance shall be governed by the provisions of §§ 729 et seq. of this title.
