§ 8807. Norms for reinstatement and contracting of terminated employees

(a) Terminated employees shall be included in the register of eligible persons to be prepared by ORHELA, for a term of one (1) year as of the date of termination. The name of the employee, the position held at the time of termination and his/her seniority shall appear in said register.

(b) If upon the implementation of Phase II there is a need to fill a vacant position, and it cannot be done through transfer, those persons who appear in the register of eligible persons and who, at the time of their termination were performing the same or work similar to that of the vacant position may be reemployed, following the seniority criteria. In these cases, these employees shall be reemployed giving preference to those of greater seniority.
